Xu Zongben is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,Professor of Mathematics & Computer Science, Xi’an Jiaotong UniversityChief Scientist of National Basic Research Program of China. He has long been engaged in Banach space geometry theory and intelligent information processing mathematics aspects of teaching and research work.

The data modeling is promoted from the “auxiliary mapping” level to the “cognitive simulation” level, and the system proposes a new principle and a new method of data modeling based on visual cognition.
Discovering Xu-Roach theorem, a new type of “binomial formula” data modeling tool under the non-Euclidean framework, laid the foundation for the analysis of regularization methods in machine learning.
Proposed L1 / 2 regularization theory of compressed sensing, and solved some important basic problems in sparse signal processing, neural network system and simulated evolutionary.
